Why is everything yigal azroel makes dry clean only?  Outerwear I get but t-shirts and sweatpants, really?

^Probably just a precaution on the designers end, it probably won't fall apart.

Care tags must contain at least one acceptable cleaning method, not the only acceptable cleaning method.

That's what I was thinking, but at the same time it would really suck if you ruined something.  I got a pair of sweatpants from myhabit, they were cheap and really comfy but I'm sure as hell not going to keep them if I can't throw the things in the wash... not sure if I want to risk ruining them though.  They're like a loose-weave cotton terry cloth, could be fine but might shrink up a lot.

Pretty much all designery stuff is dry clean only, it's a huge scam

I used to think that my screen printed ervell's were dry clean only - the screen printedness and the silk waistband seemed like they might be dry clean only.

When I went to stay with my parents over christmas my mum put them in the wash. Turned out fine.

Linen and wool I just spot clean. Linen shrinks even when you cold wash.

Anyone excited for fall/winter?

Been wearing denim + t-shirt lately because of the heat.

I have a pair of geller jeans that say dry clean only i've machine washed them 5+ times (they're garment dyed brown before some denim head pounces on me for washing jeans)

Maybe dry cleaners have large stakes in high fashion
