ETA: don't forget the bonus track "trust", which easily should've replaced summer on smash on the album/as a single... it didn't even come on the deluxe album, it was some i-tunes exclusive

summer on smash is fucking horrible.
i honestly found the album underwhelming.
it has good moments (3 or 4 songs maybe)
but by and large, it isn't memorable at all to me.
illmatic is still arguably the best rap album of all time though.

I know this sounds ridiculous in 2012, but at the time, freestyle dancing was considered completely different from breakdancing, and was actually a kind of backlash against it. FWIW, it incorporated a lot of modern dance elements.

Except for a few singles, I haven't been interested in anything Nas has done since Illmatic. That's OK though, cause he gave us that, so he's allowed to make conscious rap songs with R&B singers singing the hooks.

does the waist on leather jackets stretch with enough wear, or if it's tight at first will it always be kinda tight?

Life is Good is the best album Nas has put out since the Lost Tapes, which isn't saying much I guess. lol.

Yeah. He's one of the few artists out there who should have zero creative control over his music. He needs a iron fisted executive producer to choose all his beats, song concepts, and sequencing, thus relegating Nas' role to only plugging in his verses. He's one of the best rappers out there, but he's made mediocre music for so long.

I wouldn't count on leather stretching that much.

Sure people will travel sometimes, but most people also at least have a jacket and have a pair of shoes. So the question, then, is whether to upgrade the jacket or shoes first. If I live in a warm climate that doesn't allow jackets most of the year, even if I may travel to a cold climate for 2-3 weeks a year, I'm going to choose shoes first. If I live in the arctic, and my boots aren't total garbage (and realistically even if they are), I'm going to get the jacket first.

It says something that even rap purists agree that Nas has underachieved (given his lyrical ability) most of his career due largely to his dead ear for beat selection.

Something like this should be created for the SWD side of the board.

Does anyone know if the CDG Play chucks come in half sizes? I'm only seeing them listed in full sizes.

Archery was pretty cool today, but judo is not very appealing to me. Gymnastics and athletics events (javelin, hammer, long jump, pole vault, 100m, etc) are the ones I like watching the most. Oh, and tennis obviously.

Boxing has been good so far also. Gausha, for the USA, mollywhopped his Armenian opponent in the closing seconds of the match. Highly entertaining.
