Not surprising, though, since F/W is almost universally the superior collection for most brands.

Been listening to too much "I gotta feeling?" today?

I remember them in the early 2000s, pre-Fergie, when they were a pretty respected LA act. Honestly though, they are the children of Common.

I was into the freestyle dance scene in LA during the mid-90s and once battled will.i.am (I got my ass handed to me).

Before they were rappers, the guys in Black Eyed Peas were actually dancers. I remember first hearing them rap in a studio when they were Atban Klan and thinking "Jesus, these guys suck so much; they're never going to make it"

Nas's album is pretty great - listen to that instead of the XX.

ETA: don't forget the bonus track "trust", which easily should've replaced summer on smash on the album/as a single... it didn't even come on the deluxe album, it was some i-tunes exclusive

I rarely listen to modern/current US rap, UK grime is so much better and closer to what rap should sound like, in my world.

Parker, full of anger, spreading animosity. Take control of your mind and meditate. Man, you gotta have love just to set it straight.

We can't have game talk but we can have pop music talk frown.gif

Fok, what's happening with Common Projects seconds line? The suede vibram chuckalikes? Want to get my wife some nice basic sneaks and she really liked them.

If you mean the new New Editions (not sure if there is a Chuckalike in that lineup), Pete saw them in NYC, and will be writing something about them.

I am in Moscow, ID, right now, where the temperature is in the 80s. So, kicks dictate (Midnight blue Common Project lowtop captoes today.) In about 10 hours, I will be in more civilized weather. There, outerwear (realistically, light outerwear like a jersey blazer, and at most, an unlined leather jacket), will rule the day (Buttero hightops and also Common Projects hightops packed also.)

summer on smash is fucking horrible.
i honestly found the album underwhelming.
it has good moments (3 or 4 songs maybe)
but by and large, it isn't memorable at all to me.
illmatic is still arguably the best rap album of all time though.
