Short answer: yes.
Long answer: Massaro is a venerable french custom shoemaker started at the end of the 19th century which used to provide shoes for haute couture shows and clients. One of their partners in crime, Chanel, bought them in the early 2000s and recently decided to capitalize on the name and expand the business to men's RTW and bespoke. They created their own lasts and specs and had Edward Green make the shoes for the RTW line (to top drawer quality level or maybe only adopting some of the characteristic of that make, not sure), while the bespoke is made in-house. The 6-8 rtw models they'ce created are part of their classic catalogue of shapes and styles and also offered in a bespoke version. I have the RTW version (called the Memphis) but you can also get it in bespoke (or anything else you want and they're willing to make). What you see on the website is a bespoke sample, as they keep several in the showroom. RTW is something like €900 for shoes and €1300 for boots while bespoke is €3500+ (ladies can be slightly lower at say €2500 but can go high as fuck). I personally do not need bespoke for comfort or variety's sake but if anyone wants to try it I would definitely go with one of the french makers, preferably Delos, Arca or Massaro cause they like making interesting shoes/shapes/colours/materials and are extremely skilled. Georg Materna also has nice stuff in their catalogue so it is another option if you prefer Mitteleuropean style.Edited by Fuuma - 6/28/12 at 8:21am
