I've actually been thnking of getting some classic black hunter pull on boots for snow? Any thoughts on winter boots?

Also Synth how do those trickers fair in the snow? Seems like most snow boots are so fucking hideous. Worst thing is seeing male uggs around the university hill in boulder crazy.gif

seen some talk about levi's 510s here and while i know there's a "jean" thread i'd rather avoid jean threads if possible. anyone vouch for how they fit? need a basic pair and i'm curious on how to size, i'm a true 32 i guess and looking at some of the non-denim pairs.

510s are pretty skinny man. i'd stick to 511s.

I think it's really just about getting a pair of sneakers at this point.

these? if so, please please PLEASE replace them with something nicer. these should be relegated to be your beater boots for really crappy weather.

don't buy into the premium sneaker hype just yet man, stan smiths will do you fine.

Nope, definitely *not* those. Earthkeepers (the original, not-garish-looking ones). That's what I meant. (It's been a while.) And, though I appreciate your concern regarding my jump into "premium sneaker hype," I'll make my own (well-informed) decision.

I've got a pair of 510s, I'm really skinny, and so are they.

Just bought some 511's because I only own one pair of denim and don't feel like doing the raw denim thing again.

Short answer: yes.

Long answer: Massaro is a venerable french custom shoemaker started at the end of the 19th century which used to provide shoes for haute couture shows and clients. One of their partners in crime, Chanel, bought them in the early 2000s and recently decided to capitalize on the name and expand the business to men's RTW and bespoke. They created their own lasts and specs and had Edward Green make the shoes for the RTW line (to top drawer quality level or maybe only adopting some of the characteristic of that make, not sure), while the bespoke is made in-house. The 6-8 rtw models they'ce created are part of their classic catalogue of shapes and styles and also offered in a bespoke version. I have the RTW version (called the Memphis) but you can also get it in bespoke (or anything else you want and they're willing to make). What you see on the website is a bespoke sample, as they keep several in the showroom. RTW is something like €900 for shoes and €1300 for boots while bespoke is €3500+ (ladies can be slightly lower at say €2500 but can go high as fuck). I personally do not need bespoke for comfort or variety's sake but if anyone wants to try it I would definitely go with one of the french makers, preferably Delos, Arca or Massaro cause they like making interesting shoes/shapes/colours/materials and are extremely skilled. Georg Materna also has nice stuff in their catalogue so it is another option if you prefer Mitteleuropean style.

I felt there were too many boots in PinkPanster's selection there. Could at least skip one pair and turn them into brogues or derbies of some sort. I have spent the past 3 or 4 years wearing the exact same thing everyday, selecting 20 items would be like a shopping spree to me.

also, does one really need more than one suit?

Wore white denim yesterday and got a "Hey T.J. Hooker !" from one of the homeless guys outside my office. I laughed.
