I like a few of the pieces, too, but have heard so many negative comments about the quality that I can't justify the price.

I was perusing the SE x DB x SF09 thread earlier and had to laugh at Adam's "fit" pics. I guess that's one of the funny things about looking at old threads with pictures.

I've got a henley from SoG and actually am pleased with the quality/price ratio on it. Maybe it just doesn't scale well with more expensive pieces, and that's where the hate comes from. But I definitely wouldnt shy from their basics

SOG's fabrics feel comparable to H&M to me. I don't think their designs justify the 3-4x markup.
