We are actually going to be rolling out a gallery system where all the pictures from a thread go into its own gallery, and you can search within that particular gallery.

Nah it has nothing to do with CDG, it's been around for years.

The top knot was all the rave for like 3-4 years ago in Scandinavia. Every "cool" guy rocked it, you know the same people who shave one side of their head or go too far on the jugend cut. Don't really get why everyone's on it here now.

It does look good on some people, but I think that you need to have dark hair and be quite skinny/in shape for it to look the best.

Shaving one side of your head is NOTHING like a top knot. It's not trendy whatsoever and people have been doing it for a long time.

However I do agree with you that you need to have dark hair and be a skinny Asian or muscular white guy.

That being said I'm like 50/50 with a top knot and regular ponytail/bun throughout the day. I've gotten to where I hate my hair being down as I can't stand it on my face and have to put it back behind my ear a lot if it's down.

for people who've used Rakuten, is there anything I should be aware of, like any difficulties people usually encounter when buying through there?

Are you buying direct or through a proxy?

yea i dont think I can really pull off a top-knot, i cant grow facial hair for shit.

i want to get the sides cut short particularly up front, but I also want to keep a lot of the length I have now and im trying to figure out how exactly to cut it without looking weird or awful. been looking through lookbooks and that long ass hair thread on sufu and havent found anything that strikes me just yet

You want to cut the sides short and leave your shoulder long hair? uhoh.gif

Yeah, forgot that bit, facial hair is definitely needed as well.

would be buying direct. but if a proxy is best I could easily go that route. i don't have a particular item in mind. I just check it out sometimes and always shy away because of the language barrier.

I know that they ship worldwide, but I've only purchased items there through a proxy. Never had any problems with the site, but it would be interesting to see how buying direct works.

I tried picking up some stuff off rakuten a while back and had my order cancelled once they found out my debit card was not Japanese. The shop sent me an email saying that they only accepted debit/credit cards from Japanese banks. They did say they would take paypal though so it could be a lot smoother for you if you use it.

Also, if you don't plan on using a proxy, make sure you filter your searches by where the seller is willing to ship to to try and remove those that will only send to Japan only.

Other than that, my experience attempting to shop there was pretty uneventful. The store I was buying from answered emails and I got regular emails from both rakuten (which were al in Japanese if I remember correctly) and the store which were in English and Japanese).
