75% of people wearing a blazer over a tshirt look bad; even when they're brand/design appropriate. And I'm not coming from an acecowian perspective, it's just a mostly bad idea.

so the other 25% look good? how should it be done?

A size 28 waist isn't really 'skinny,' that's just small.  Not many people that aren't asian are built that little.  But yeah, for some reason people size down like two on dior jeans, I feel like that defeats the purpose of getting them but whatever.

It's funny, my "inspiration folder" is composed almost entirely of different variations of tees combined with tailored outerwear. Tempted to vomit that folder's contents all over this thread icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Go for it.

I'm not saying you should always wear a collared woven shirt with anything that has lapels, I just don't think t/tailored is an "easy" thing to pull off. Risks Varvatosis

I totally hear you re: "varvatosis"-- it's really easy to look like a tool/douche while doing it

Even I, generally a fan of the look, sometimes wince with the ways some people attempt it

watched about fifteen minutes of that show (The Fashion Show? forget what it's called) where Varvatos is one of the judges. He wears sunglasses and a linen scarf indoors the whole time and really thinks he's awesome.

Derek is my favorite SA at atelier or SA period, taught me a lot about demeulemeester, and helped me snag some pieces of hers. However, hes also a very down to earth guy, treats everyone equally; has a sincere vibe to himself.

well, he is like a repository for Ann knowledge, gave me styling tips, taught me her purpose behind designs, and gave me a better understanding of why I have a strong affinity towards her clothing.

a personality-type I've come lately to appreciate, the type who delays need of any response from me by relating my side of the story for me, to me.
