I can wear all the leather jackets and combat boots I want but the moment a big cockroach flies at me I will wet my pants.

Backpacks are very practical, and i like that they enable me to carry most of my things without using my hands, but I'm kind of tired of the materials that companies use on their arm straps. Most of the backpacks that I've handled have straps that are really thick and really coarse. I get the reasoning behind this (its obvious) but I dislike the way that it rubs against leather and how it feels on hotter days.

So I'm thinking about a small overnight bag/really small Duffel. I also really liked the guidi bag moo&dmash sold. The only thing holding me back is that I'm short, so i need something with a handle, and I REALLY don't want to get into briefcase territory.

Worst case scenario: I've found a couple of cowhide and ponyhair backpacks that would make a decent replacement for my current backpack. smile.gif

I started it, so SW&D, of course! It's a little less helpful than I thought it would be, since it seems like it's become mostly a repository of inquires from newbies who probably stumbled upon the thread via their search engine of choice.

Any help for a casual suede dark brown shoe (that is under 200) (this thread gets more attention than the recommend x thread)

but thanks. that's twice now i've been told to get a perm lol

best thing I did though, was to leave the 90's behind, and forget about getting my hair cut into a shape - rather letting it shape itself to my face and it's own way of growing, and cutting that after some generous amount of time and patience. The reward is that your hair styles itself and needs little to no product. I get perms to boost the volume on the backside of my head because my I have the flat Asian skull, and I use the gloss to add a nicer shine and keep a few of the flyaway strands with the group, but overall I can just shower and let my hair air dry and I am happy with my hair. It's good enough to get me a sales assistant job at Visvim maybe, lol.

I rarely browse outside of SWD and forgot about that. Anyway, it does look like a lot of people joining just to ask about haircuts - especially recently. It needs a masked title like "H_A_I_R THREAD" or something so it doesn't show up in search engines.

me too. i could never imagine having black hair though. I feel people with blonde hair have a certain complexion that only works with blonde hair.

I like the idea of a hair thread in sw&d because like a lot of other people I never check those other subfora. And I like the idea of making it un-search-friendly, though when people have posted a bunch it would probably turn up anyway. So if someone wants to do it I'm all for it (maybe snow will contribute so-called man bun pics to get it rolling!)
