Nonsense. Body type plays a huge factor in how certain aesthetics or stylistic choices look. I can admire some of the garb the rail-thin dudes on here or Tumblr look, but I don't dare try to replicate a lot of it because things such as beefy things and a big ass will impact the overall look, and usually not for the better.

Just like how everyone loves skinny Asian dudes wearing MMM 5zip but not so much when beefy white guy wears it?

its obvious we have different body types and styles, did anyone need to point that out? and it's obvious that this is not exactly the look I am going for.

my reason in postin' that pic is that here we see an internet-respected waywt poster with tailored/hemmed pants. a bit tight? yes. but the point is that not everyone needs stacks contrary to popular SF belief

lol, and bowz, I luv ya man but for you to be saying that sounds pretty fuckin hypocritical.

dude I don' think anyone is saying you can't have pants hemmed at that length. It just looks bad when you do it. just don't act salty and learn from your mistakes, is all.

Most of us already know this.

I didn't doubt you weren't already aware of the body type differences, but that still makes a difference in the overall look. A guy with any weight on him wearing anything like that will probably look awful. I kind of think he's getting away with it because the socks and jeans(?) appear to be the same color, so there isn't this jarring contrast when you look down there.

The whole Pro-Stacks vs. Pro-No Break struggle that has emerged in recent weeks is kind of fascinating, mostly because I think those involved seem to misinterpret the other side. I think when the no break guys read "stacking" they think of monstrous denim flapjack stacks. In reality, most people championing stacks really just mean, "Stop wearing jeans like trousers, Urkel, and let those babies break a little bit."

for proper anti-stack usage, see the sf encyclopedia under: mellowfellow

A lot of people on here very much over emphasize how tight my pants are, when they really aren't that tight. But thats neither here nor there.
They look like leggings precisely because they do NOT have stacks

But dude you're sorta bow-legged which is why it doesn't look good.  I don't think anyone's saying that in general pants with no break look bad, but on you it does.

thats funny because I think my slight bow is why stacks DONT work.

True, but part of what makes it look good is that mellow does this with non-denim pants.

edit: Here, ARW.

I feel like I've yet to see a cropped denim fit that looks really, really good. Chinos? Yeah, I can dig cropped chinos (queue umpteenth Mellow reference). But cropped blue jeans? Mehhhhhhh.
