If you make a bee-line to the nearest bathroom, just about anything will come out with soap and severe scrubbing, including red wine out of white clothes if you're really quick about it.

yeah that's whta I did and it came off the pants, it was only on the hip area just below the front pocket line, so that's good. still smells faintly of ketchup though which is grossing me out but it was a big dollop that landed on me.

But the shirt didn't fare as well, I only had paper towels to scrub with and it sort of messed up the texture (cashmere blend) but it was only little splatters there and I'm sure it will be fine since it's at the very bottom of the shirt. oh well. It's not noticeable unless you're staring at it up close like I am.

And this comes after paying $176 in customs fees yesterday for items I didn't even keep ffffuuuu.gif

bad week for clothes for me

That sucks. A couple months ago I found some Raf pieces on sale in the UK and spent $300 only to have DHL (ffffuuuu.gif) charge me another $100 on delivery.

I later found the exact same items on Yoox for 2/3 the price, and there was an active -15% code.

i have such bad luck with buying online that I usually can't bring myself to order from overseas. if things don't work out I'm stuck with all sorts of fees, and in my experience things rarely work out

also, found that i really like the Margiela laceless oxfords. kinda ideal for summer laziness

Treat with liquid detergent and throw in washer immediately it'll all come out.

yeah I would but both items are very much dry-clean only. I'll probably send out the shirt to be dry cleaned since this is probably my last time wearing it before storing it for the summer.

I post like an idiot on here but it's all in fun, and I'm always down for old school bmw chat

another RFT:

I went to the Silent (damir doma) pop up last night and tried on a few things, and I'm totally hooked. It's taking all my strength (and my job) not to sell everything I have, shave my head, and start wearing all that shit

http://mashable.com/2012/04/07/luxury-brands-millennials/

Kinda interesting, though it paints with pretty broad strokes
Quote:
Baby Boomers: Boomers find tremendous value in being able to engage with brands that most consumers cannot afford. They use luxury to illustrate their achievement. In short, they think of luxury brand exclusivity as the ability to say “I can and you can’t.”

Millennials: When it comes to luxury brands, Millennials have a pack mentality. For them, it’s less about “I can and you can’t,” and more about “I can and you should come along.” They see luxury value as a derivative of how many people want something, whether they can afford it or not.

I stepped in a changing room wearing worn APC's, camo vis, a nautical stripe shirt with a denim shirt and a leather jacket

stepped out wearing:

and these but in like an off-black color.

541

and then I threw on this and I was a changed man

It's like, what have I been doing wearing all these layers all this time. desperately want to go back to kop all of it

i could see you in Silent, tween.do you happen to know if they had the backpack? been wanting to see it in person. that last piece you posted looks really good. what's it made of?
Pretty sure I saw that backpack, but I was mostly focused on the clothes since time was tight. They had lots of bags though, including those huuuuuge ones

Big cardigan was 100% cotton, it was actually kind of inexpensive compared to everything else. Like $330. It's cool because the strap is on the outside of the right side only, and the rings are on the inside of the left.

I don't see what's weird with wanting to make friends with people whom you know you have common interests with. makes a lot of sense to me.
