Eh, for what it's worth, I don't think he's in the wrong w/r/t the posts that are ostensibly about his sexuality. I think it's probably just aggravating for a lot of regular posters to see a noob post with such frequency, which, well...

Hm.

To your chagrin, I like a lot of Silent for S/S, but I'm with you here. This looks like something you'd find on a picked over rack of sports coats at your nearby Goodwill.

laugh.gif I like it, there's matching pants on the site too. well the color is kinda bizarre, cdg shirt has a jacket in same color which i think looks better as it's more traditional-looking jacket rather than orientalist one. it looks like silent is coming into its own this season, well except for the fact that there are some mainline repros like the classic braided scarf that snow has and the diaper pants, but aside from that it's not a bad collection. also, mainline basics kinda (tees, really) are underwhelming, might as well get the silent stuff.

in other news street fashion news, i will use this microfibre cloth as a temporary pockets square lol

you can get a lot under 3g's if you're down with a vintage ride. you can even get stuff made in the 90's for under 3g's

what are you going for? cafe racer style? chopper? american or import? are you willing to put work into it? or do you want it rideable from purchase?

need some guidelines but I'd be happy to help ya out...

I think he's looking for a casual bicycle for riding around town, for under $300. He caught The Brooklyn

(I just brought back an old road bike last week so I understand)

ahh, when he said cruiser it made me think motos. that's one reason i dont like the common reference to motorcycles as 'bikes.'

Bows,

Look for old bikes at fair prices on craiglist. Lots of overpriced shit but you can find a great old beater for ~125-150 if you wait. Alternately, go to B's on driggs in Greenpoint, best bike shop in north brooklyn, they'll be happy to answer any questions you have.

Yeah I like B's. I've used their pumps outside before while riding a friends bike. I just don't really know anything bike upkeep so I don't want to buy a lemon by accident. I guess I'll keep browsing craigslist.

Cruisers are completely impractical. Do like tween and ride an old road bike. I just acquired a very old Panasonic road bike (for free) and will put these velo orange bars on it to use it as a commuter.

Unless you're an old man or an attractive girl in a sun dress with baguettes sticking out of the front basket, stay away from cruiser bikes.
