haha. It is kinda interesting. I can spend ages discussing clothes on the internet. I have 1 person in real life who i'd talk about fashion with, and even then i don't really like to talk about price. It always comes up. I always try to deflect it.

I had my first foray into the fashion world today. My brother dragged me to a local menswear store where he is going to be in a video promoting the place, and I ended up being par of it. We did fittings today and chose the outfits everyone was going to wear during the video shoot. It´s going to air in a local channel  (and I won´t even be able to see it, since I have directv and they don´t show local channels xp), but it´s still kinda cool to do something in the clothing business.

I had never been to the store but I liked some of the stuff I tried, specially a pair of jeans and a cardigan. If I get paid in clothes, I´ll probably take the cardi. Nice layering piece for the upcoming winter.

I mean, you're laughing at someone because a) they know less than you do about fashion (which i'm guessing, like me you've learnt about by reading forums) b) they think an expensive leather jacket is...expensive.
Moreover, you feel that such a person should not be privy to the same knowledge as you since you're worried about him telling you how to spend your own money?
Condescending is not the right word.

If $750 is expensive for a leather jacket... then what word would you use for the $3000 jackets most high-end brands have??

TOJ prices are great for something thatt good.

re talking about expensive clothes. My family now knows the crazy amount of money I spend on sneakers, jeans, etc. It´s still a tad weird for them, since the dollar and euro are over 4 and almost 6 pesos respectively.

I think the few times I´ve talked with other people about the prices of my different "odd" purchases, their reactions were like "O_O", so now I prefer avoid disclosing on how much they cost  and just say "It´s too obscene of a price" lol8[1].gif

3000 would be super expensive... 750 dollars is expensive for almost anyone

Not for a leather jacket of that quality. I understand not a lot of people can spend that kind of money on a piece of clothing, but if we´re specific, the point here ^ applies, at least that´s how I see it.

Sadly, no for two reasons

1. I could find my size in only one place, and that was some select shop in Korea where they put them up for like $1100

and 2. While they fit like gloves, I find Biker fit to be unbalanced because I have narrow upper body.

But yeah first one was the main reason musicboohoo[1].gif

edit: regarding your thumb-up comment; even at that price tag, those leather patch jeans sold out like crazy. Dean and Dan makes nice jeans for short legged Koreans

I found the exact jeans I've been looking for for summer, but they're from Energie and are $330 USD. Will cop later.
