^not yet, there is no question his fabrics are good but I don't know what they feel like since he's got a rustic style

superfuturistic apocalyptic ninja soldier--how and where to dress more like this?

a lot of black, white, grey hues with mixes of color largely from wine, mustard, emerald, rust, dirt, and navy's/crimson (a lot of earthly war aftermath colors). tights (think of Nike x Gyakusou) mixed with volume tops and battled torn drapes. boots boots and more boots.

really trying to figure out how to incorporate geller, ervell, SS?, "artisan" designers (footwear) into this entire scheme.

thought about this the whole time @ the gym concurrently wondering what Mr. Rick Owen's is doing. Then I pictured his S/O

Yeah, same date range, too. After June, I'd pass. Want to go to DC, too, but I swore that last time I visited in the summer would really be the last.

I've been meaning to buy a pair of cheap plain black nylon gym pants and have them slimmed down and see what that looks like. I can't imagine they'd look much different than $700 black nylon pants that were cut slim to begin with. If you wanted pockets, zippers, and so forth, I guess that would require a little more work.

As far as footwear goes, split-sole wrestling shoes are the most comfortable (and sneaky, and fun) things I've ever worn. Snowman says Julius made a fashuns equivalent; been meaning to find out more, but my Google Fu is weak.

your initial description sounds pretty much like julius and I guess a lot of the 'goth ninja' brands, maybe + undercover maybe a bit of damir for more color? but then geller, ervell, ss? wtf? not a huge fan of geller in the first place, and I guess of these three he is the most readily workable with a really directional look like you seemed to be talking about. but ervell and ss hint at something much more subtle, I think they can be combined possibly with little bits of outside things but details are very important and the general vibe needs to be dominated by those designers aesthetics and not the more avant-garde ones to work IMO...

Last time I ask you for advice shah frown.gif toasty, Ervell/SS are totally on another end of the spectrum and aren't really going to work well with that other stuff, maybe the pants? but that's about it.  Your wardrobe now is mostly ervell/SS right? I think you'd probably have to start from scratch if you want to do the post apocalyptic ninja thing.

you should post it up. for what it's worth, I gave it 32 thumbs up in the PM ...

sounds like you want to incorporate all the current "hot" SF designers into a look.

Unboxed a bunch of crisp new Kolor and CDH fresh from Lazzari shop and it all smells like an ash tray. angry.gif
