Why waste time with paypal? They might even start asking questions if you manage to get a partial refund? I have a CC so I don't have to deal with bullshit and paypal IS bullshit.

I bought a new car last week, and I have already stained the cream colored seats with my jeans.

Some of my Julius jeans have distressing/honeycombs at the ankle and I think they're pretty sick, especially stacked. But yeah, I've seen some bad ones out there as well.

I'd do the same kinda look if I had a job to go to and a dress code to adhere to.

I think minimal office style could be incrediballer. Slim grey 2-button Jil suit, white Jil shirt, slim black tie, black Comey shoes every day. I'm nearing the end of a 2-month trip where I had 7 shirts and 2 pairs of pants and that's it, and (for me, at least) it isn't hard to wear the same thing every day if you really like what you're wearing.

I've never had an office job and probably never will, though, so I guess the full set of demands placed on you is lost on me.

This is true

I've since decided that my YSL Rive Gauche trousers should be given to any custom tailors I may frequent in future for use as patterns; they're the best kind of baggy. I wish I had more of them

I can tell you like your job, so congrats. Most people are lucky to have any job at all, let alone a good job.

What is an articling student? We don't use that terminology in the US. Google search produced vague definitions.

Trust me wearing it 5 days a week for months and then years you'd get a bit bored wearing white shirt, grey pants black shoes everyday. Also, if you aren't in good shape and slim and get the stuff to fit you impeccably, you're just gonna look like most other people. Still, you'd prob want to start mixing it up after awhile

In form, articling means I am an agent acting on behalf of my principal, who is a lawyer and partner here. If I **** up, she gets sued, not me (though it's all the same really since the firm's liab insurance would cover it either way).

Right now I'm doing work on whether or not a particular expense can be deducted for tax purposes by a resource company. The vast difference between what I was doing this morning (appearing in chambers on bankruptcy stuff) and this afternoon (research to provide corporate tax advice) should give you some idea of what articling is... I am essentially a junior lawyer called upon to either do small stuff, like amending orders, or research on some area of law. This is because the big guys get billed out at anywhere from 400 to 1000 bucks an hour and they bill me out at 200something. So it saves the client money if the expensive guy doesn't run around doing the stuff the juniors can do.

Articling lasts for a year, after which point you get called to the bar. Essentially it's like a 1 year apprenticeship where you do more or less all of the stuff a junior lawyer would do. That period isn't required in the US; once you graduate law school and pass the exam you're called.

As for liking my job, I love it when I feel like I'm doing it well. When I feel like I'm ******* it up and don't know what I'm doing (which happens a lot since... I don't know what I'm doing) it's pretty stressful and easy to get down on yourself. I don't know much about the ins and outs of chambers apps, so I had a ****** morning, haha.

Plus you can't really wear a suit 5 days in a row and expect it to last though, even if it is made by Jil Sander. same with dress shoes, it really isn't ideal to wear it 5 days in a row. You have to have some variety and alternatives to rotate your clothes around.

They were like powder blue with tinges of a faded indigo, and the honeycombs and **** were pure white, fronts down to the knees were white, hems were still there and uncut but nicely dogged on the edges. I'd estimate they were about 5 years old, maybe even more.

APC fades dirty. Well, that's the easiest way to describe it. Mine are only white on the edge of the fly flap thing. Anywhere else that's heavily faded has that dirty or dull look to it. It's kinda gross actually.

Rotating dress shoes is a must. I have a central rotation of (now) 3 pairs and a few outliers that get tossed in from time to time. That is a small shoe rotation and the minimum I'd say. Suits, you probably need 4-5 but I'd say 3 is a minimum.

I need new shirts, most of mine are really blousy since I lost weight.
