Thats about never though. Me being above Barneys Madison is like, birthday only occasion and thats solely for a meal at Jean George. Unless I'm in Harlem swagging on some BBQ. I'm downtown regularly though in EV and soho.

Good news is it'll only be one week. swag.

I read this as the "mason-dixon" line and it still makes sense.

This F/W 11 was pretty dope. You really have to see it in person, the fabrics are crazy. I quite liked the show too. You should watch the video if you can.

I'm going to go to New York maybe this summer, if my friends aren't such pussies. I will meet up with you and have a pull up competition. Let's hit Coney Island or some shit Warriors style.

I'll do white tee, diors, paul smiths and that's pretty much it. maybe night time I'll throw on a lightweight margiela or dior knit if it's chilly.

It won't be unless we're at coney. NYC is hot as fuck come summer time, I can't even bother.

damnnn, here in t-dot it gets a little nippy at night. nothing bad, just you can survive in a knit or a tee. you won't be too hot or too cold with either respectively.

So, essentially, he was saying that buyers' perceptions, whether accurate or not, dictate, to a large degree, what is available - not the designer's, not the end customer's.

This was the most incisive bit of fashion analysis I've heard in a while.

I wish that more fashion commentators were as smart as Doonan.

Having seen American buyers make their buys right after Japanese buyers (say Barneys jp vs Barneys NYC) I can coinfirm they have a huge influence on what gets worn/used for shoots/how a designer is perceived in a city.

i liked what I seen of the Fall 10/11 collection when I was in the store last year. The Rubber topcoat was sick to dick. Suits and leathers were cool too.
