I think Koreans probably watch more J-tv than vice versa. A lot of school kids keep track of the current season J dramas and watch them on the innernets, as do homely older girls and even some dudes. At 10-12 episodes, a j-drama is easier to digest and keep track of than a 20-24 episode k-drama with crazy plot twists that never make any sense.

the ****? can't tell if that's a joke or not but have seen a lot of guys with tiny feet so can't be too surprised. how tall are you? I get the impression you're on the shorter side thought in your fit pics you kinda seem taller but i think it's an illusion if that makes sense?

well, primarily due to the fact that RO sneakers:

• have a rubber surround that is more massive than lanvins, almost like ann d

The bolded one is what I think it really comes down to. But none of the other factors really matter at all. Arguing about the value of fashion items is an exercise in futility, but enumerating the costs is pretty easy, and the fact is that a sneaker, even when you tack on all the doodads possible, is not costly to make.

You can make a pair of sneakers with massive sidewalls, and it is not going to increase the cost that much. And the Rick Dunk soles are not an engineering feat either. Your more expensive technical running shoes, or something like the older Puma Mihara models, are technically more difficult to make. Nor is stitching the soles that difficult either. And "high quality leather?" Yeah, if you are trying to bring in a sneaker under $100 retail, you may have some issues there, but if you are selling sneakers for a few hundred or more, you can use terrific leather, do some great treatments, put on lots of straps and zippers, and it's not going to affect your margins significantly, unless you are making a very limited number of sneakers. And I'll bet dollars to donuts that Rick Owens meets the minimums for pretty much everything.

There are plenty of other brands that put out sneakers much cheaper than Rick, who do just as good or better a job in materials and construction.

I've handled both real and fake Ricks and honestly I felt that the fakes were made better. Materials weren't as good obviously. There's a small amount of VERY high quality fakes that beat the **** out of the real ones but they disappear really quickly.
