The eye makes me feel so gay, even though it is a completely necessary part of being in clothing lol observing those who dress well. I feel like I get the eye more than I give the eye in my small town... but sometimes it's mutual. I agree, unbuttoned buttonholes is silly, it's almost akin to leaving a button undone on your button fly so people can see it's not a zipper from a piece of metal peeking out.
The eye can definitely be mutual, but sometimes it feels combative. I'm guilty of engaging in this peacock stare-down as well. There needs to be a sign that we can flash to each other to use as an olive branch to mean nice threads, +rep, no homo. I think it could be like, when you see someone who might be SF-status you can go over and pat them on the rump, baseball style.

No, I agree, just having a hissyfit. It's symptomatic of a trend and doesn't warrant a subforum of its own because, as you say, the zeitgeist will change. I guess what I meant to say that 99% of the content is TrendForum. So maybe there should be a splinter forum for that. Blah I don't know. I welcome astronaut suits, however.
the eclecticism within certain B&S threads is embarrassing. How the hell do you have BoO and RO in the same closet?
i've got lots of different stuff in my closet. not everyone wants to dress in head-to-toe black every day of the week. generally the clothes i wear each day are reflective of the weather, my mood, and the target destination (in that order of importance). i dont see how that should be embarassing. cant a person appreciate shrunken look and the exaggerated prorportions looks of both designers? they are both just extremes
