what i really want is a brown cord sports jacket, natural shoulders, slim fitting, to wear as an everyday jacket. Tucked in chambrays, nice shoes.

I think I saw something matching this at Uniqlo last time I went. Shoulders weren't too built up I think, just it might be too short for you.
