Reason #87 why you should not travel in nice clothing: I am currently trapped at the Atlanta airport. I started travelling almost 24 hours ago. Almost all flights out of Atlanta have been cancelled. I have had 4 connecting flights, all cancelled. One was cancelled after we were on the plane, on the tarmac, in line to be de-iced. Had to turn around and go back to the gate and deplane. No available hotel rooms, no rental cars. I have only had one hour of sleep--on the floor, at the gate. I have no flight out currently and may not have one all day. Some people have been here for two days and still don't know when they can leave. My bag is somewhere at the airport but I am not allowed to have it.

They got 4 inches. It is damn cold on the tarmac, feels like Russia. 20 degrees colder here right now than back in Rain City.

I am sure my luggage is frozen somewhere, with a walrus sleeping on it.

It is pure comedy now. Some poor fool is trying to salt the tarmac using a $10 fertilizer spreader from Home Depot with a capacity of about 8oz of salt, which he has to refill every 3 minutes. I suspect he will be done by June.

Other dood is brushing snow of the planes with a garage brush. While standing on the ground. Meaning that he can only reach the underside of the plane. Not much snow there. Hmm....
