I would wager that if retailers got together targeting certain brands about this they would adjust their NA msrp

Unrelated note, did anyone else notice that the URL of the tea kettle image is actually "o-JCPENNEY-HITLER-KETTLE-570.jpg" patch[1].gif

I'm pretty sure that is because it is a meme. It looks like hitler doing the salute.

“There is something very generic about it, the idea of basics, but in the noble sense of the word, and at the same time quite a remarkable commitment to quality. Uniqlo is not fast fashion. It’s not disposable. It’s made for all,” [Lemaire] added.

yeah, don't exactly know about that. it's not the H&M/Zara fast fashion model, but it's still pretty disposable. though I will say my favorite t-shirts are still uniqlo x undercover. they've held up quite well.

The elongated tail on the "Q" clearly signals a "commitment to quality". If they had gone with the a normal sized short tail, I'd have thought "fast fashion, disposable".

True. If it was a normal-sized tail on the Q, people would think of Q-tips, which are used once and then disposed of. A longer tail on the Q gives it a much more upscale association.

what would prevent me from simply not accepting a shipment that I'm planning to return to avoid complications of getting duties refunded?

ordered something shipped from italy, got here and UPS left a note that there's a ~$100 COD in duties. there's
a good probability I'll need to return it due to size anyway...any reason not to simply let it sit with UPS until they return to sender?

Besides "Uniqlo", the only other definiton I could find was "quantum leap orgasm"

I truly have no problem admitting I did not know that

(but you apparently did, so...congrats?)

Should have explained it better, but QLO sounds like CULO, which means ass.
