and yes, just say my friend is wrong and my hoodie goes nicely with my shorts and its a dope outfit...then we can call it a night.

and that's dinner at my friend's place with his parents...I'm gonna get ran off the board for this. be gentle plz

I don't think anyone's mentioned this, but graphic t-shirts (and sweatshirts) almost always look bad, even more so when there's a logo or some such crap involved. Similarly, cargo shorts that are huge in the leg tend to look sloppy even if they fit in the waist. I generally only wear shorts when it's upwards of 85 or 90 degrees (I usually wear denim), and I recently picked up a pair of these from forum affiliate Wolf vs. Goat, which have a slimmer, more tailored fit to them (in addition to being button-fly, because I'm anti-zipper): http://www.wolfvsgoat.com/collections/bottoms/products/indigo-shorts

I wouldn't discourage you from continuing to post here, particularly if you're genuinely interested in fashion and clothing (although you might want to lurk a bit more to get a feel for the types of fits and discussion topics people favor here). You can also check out reddit's male fashion advice forum, which is friendlier toward people who are new to clothing and want advice on how to dress a bit better.

I think that I am a masochist.  I go in, and every single time, I leave once again not wanting a single thing from there and having a headache from the layout and the terrible installations and musical choices.  It's an American parody of what "European fashion" is like, except that it's really there.  If there was an American analog, it would sell only Harley Davidson gear, USA mugs, and WWE wrestling posters.

I know a guy (not from North America) who dressed well when doing business but whose casual outfits consist of a fat Rolex or Panerai with some Harley Davidson polos and jeans (he loves his Harley). I think Luisaviaroma is so Eurotrash ready to go to Ibiza to snort some bad coke and listen to filtered house that it is worse than that.

Well. I actually enjoy going to a Nascar event slightly more than going to Ibiza, so, yeah, agreed.  They both suck.  But people at a Nascar event are typically fairly friendly, and for lack of a better term, "geniune".  The same really can't be said for any "beautiful young people" party that I've been to in Ibiza or anything that aspires to be or resembles Ibiza.

If I were serious about buying a pair it would be these hands down (since I already own two suede boots)

The SLP boots are named santiags because to french people it means cowboy boots. French rockers from the end of the 70s and 80s loved wearing santiags with beatup slim fitting washed-out jeans and a perfecto, riding around on their mopeds and carrying opinel knives. They sang about all those things, you'll note that it is exactly the SLP typical look. In reality, someone like Slimane, who grew up in that environment, can say he loves US rock and LA all he wants but the main SLP influence remains Renaud and his ilk (all people who loved american brands and would have never worn the french luxury version). Note that the actual US rock influences come out in the seasonal pieces, not saying it isn't here at all.

CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 95

note: in additions to perfecto Renaud even has a leather like the one prudy just purchased (same shoulder detailing).
