The weave has become noticeably stretched out when held up to light through those areas and the seat, as well.

I was thinking that maybe washing them and then putting them on a gentle cycle in the dryer could tighten the weave again, but I'm worried about changing the hand of the fabric. Does anyone have any advice? Should I not bother?

you could always remove them before they're completely dry and see how they're coming along.

Loved ryeGB's fits. GetSmart's too, though they were at pretty opposite ends of the spectrum. Who was the trustfund character who bounced between Thom Browne and Balmain?

I cannot overemphasize how much I dislike the sidebar ads that automatically play audio and video.

Yeah, SF is one of the few sites where I have Adblock turned off. No more, I guess.

Um, those are rogue ads.  We have specified that anti-autoplay ads are strictly verboten.  The problem is that in the "cascade" of ad networks, someone sometimes decides to not play by the rules, and deliberately miscategorizes something, or just does it by accident.  Could you please, as a favor, please turn off the adblock so that you can report that shit to me?  A screenshot and the destination link (you can get this without clicking through to it, just hover over an ad and right click to get the "copy link") would really help.

The plain truth is that although we set up filters, everyone sees different ads, and we only have a rough, aggregate, image, of what is being served up, and even then, "rogue ads" don't show up in that report.

Would appreciate your help.

Cheers,

Fok.

Yeah, that means that some asshole has been breaking the rules.  Best way is to email me at styleforum.net@gmail.com, so that I can directly send on the emails to our tech guys.  There is a guy, Charlie, who is on this more or less full time, and he is good and on things usually right away.

Thanks guys.  Um, do you have any idea what the ad was for?  That might help us a little bit.  But really, a screenshot or better yet, destination link, is best, since companies will use different networks as well.

Cheers,

Fok.

will washing them at all — even hand-washing them — fuck them up, though? I think I'm more worried about the washing than the drying.

This is a little whiny of me but it's ridiculous that the burden is on the users to screenshot autoplay ads. If you guys can't see that they're happening then your system isn't working.

Usually can't right-click and copy link because they're flash players - there's no "Copy link"

I just got one this very moment as I was going to post this (it was Dos Equis)

Is there a way to filter out and ban all ads that don't have the AdChoices functionality?

Hmmm.... well, I've washed a few cashmere blend sweaters by hand to no ill effect, but I guess it really depends on the fabric.... I toss a lot of wool in the washing machine on the handwash setting and then hang dry them. I don't want to claim expertise on any of this, but I haven't had any issues so far.

I don't get a copy link option, but I've seen Axe body wash and Dos Equis today. Apparently the Internet thinks I'm a massive douchebag.
