And there is precedence for something like ToJ happening.  In this very country.  Astor and Black was one of the biggest MTM suit businesses in this country once, and it failed, mostly due to losses because of poor infrastructure.  A ton of customer attrition and returns because the "fitters" were not trained or assessed properly.  It went bankrupt, and a ton of former customers were left with nothing.  Then a former employee bought the company for under $500K, including all the assets.  I just looked on their website, and it's unclear to me why I would choose it over Indochino or Mytailor or any number of now more established online MTM tailors, but they are trying to make a go of it.

Because if you live in a city where they have a fitter there is somebody you can go to if the finished product doesn't fit correctly. As somebody who has had two terrible experiences with Modern Tailor, I'll never buy MTM again unless it's from a store I can get into my car and drive to.

any suggestions for a jean similar to the Geller 5 year wash but with a tapered bottom?

I'm pretty sure all of the Geller's are tapered, the type 3 is the roomiest and a 34 is like a 7.5" hem or something. Otherwise, maybe try AMI ? https://www.shopacrimony.com/products/ami--destroy-washed-blue-ami-fit-denim

There's also a washed version that's not "destroyed".

Or OL or Acne?

I'm fairly slim. all of my suit pants are altered to 7" or slightly under.

Gonna check those suggestions out, thanks!

Contemplating pulljngg trigger on 700 doll hair pair of pants from ssense. Would need to order two sizes to make sure of fit. Wonder when sales are popping up...

If I recall, sometime around July or August is when SSENSE has their sales.

That guy was on Shark Tank and it was a total disaster.

Yup just went to ssense and sorted pants by highest to lowest in price to try to figure out what pants made from doll hair look like. Went from 795 -> 650+ dollar pants looking at thumb nails and name to see if one seemed doll hair-ish.

Then did a google site:ssense.com doll hair for good measure. Then I read your post again and actually got it. *getting it fail frown.gif*

I personally think that you have to be stupid and/or desperate to make a pitch on Shark Tank.  It seems like a great way to not get funded and also get humiliated on nationally syndicated television.   Also, it seems like a terribly unfair program.  Nearly every good idea has a ton of holes, and the trick is figuring out if the core concept is sound, and whether the people have what it takes to make a go of it.

Having gone through the whole process of seeking capital multiple times and still regularly do, I would say you have to have your shit locked down before even thinking about going to investors, these people get maybe 50 cases a week, so yours NEED to stand out.

There are firms, who deal in raising capital and they only get paid, if they are successful, so you are sort guaranteed succes, if they go in, but most of them want somewhere in the 300k range.

Is there something about English, not being one's first language, that leads to excessive use of commas? It seems most common, among Europeans.

I've always wondered, why that is.
