Bewildering that Drew can't muster up the courage to include an apology in any of his posts. Or maybe he just thinks everyone is being unreasonable?

Yeah, but that's not the point, as mentioned numerous times before, the whole business was/is badly run.

The point was why he is testy or why he is, having to explain to your business partners, why a venture they are not involved in has started to affect their money, must be enough to make any one annoyed.

14 months waiting for a TOJ.

2.5 months waiting for some Luxire pants (there was an issue with the fabric, so I changed it 3,5 weeks ago).

4 weeks waiting for another Luxire pant.

2 weeks waiting for some sneakers on backorder, 2+ more weeks to go and then shipping from the US.

God I hate waiting for stuff. Whenever I find something that I really like it's either out of stock or I have to wait a lot.

At least my 2 Uniqlo t-shirts and another Cheap Monday one arrived today one week after ordering. Thy're all pretty nice.

You should move here to NYC where people only like something if you have to wait a long time in line for it (read:everything)

I wouldn't discount this.

Drew definitely dropped the ball.  But, even if it's completely your fault, it's hard to keep a professional attitude when doing customer service day in and day out, and it takes a specific type of personality to do that well.  What you look for is someone who is a details person, and someone who is very chirpy, very glass half full.  All of the people I personally know who do this well are extremely well organized, friendly, and are good at deescalating confrontations.  As anyone who has interacted with Drew here knows, he is pretty much the opposite of that.  I do okay, but it doesn't always come naturally to me, which is why I have people who help me.

If you don't have the personality to front a customer-oriented company, maybe....don't start up a customer oriented company?

There seems to be a dissonance between how Drew views the whole matter and how the customers see it. Unknown to us (or me, at least) Drew is very very removed from the manufacturing and shipping process. While we're sweating if anything has been made in months, he's been stuffing "lost" items into a storage unit. It's a significant logistics issue that really should not have occurred, but I'm glad it is being rectified, albeit slowly. All in all, while there would have been several angry customers (like there aren't already), some clear communication could have eased the tensions building in the TOJ thread. Just glad to hear he hasn't run off with millions.

is it bad that even after the whole shit show, the jackets still look beautiful to me? maybe i'm just ignorant about leather quality, etc.

It's because they are, especially at that price point. They never became ugly. What became ugly rapidly was management of the whole thing.

Or, have someone who is in charge of client relationships.  Which is what he had, until he wrapped up the business without really wrapping up the business.  The head of the company doesn't necessarily have to be the SA/Account manager/sales director, etc...

I LOVE how this TOJ shit is just blowing up now. I don't even know the story over the past 5 years. I ordered something back in 2010. A $550 calf-skin moto and I sent in very detailed and precise measurements and the product I got back was COMPLETELY wrong. Wrong shoulder, over 2" off, wrong length, over 2" off, terrible fit, only thing right about the whole thing was the sleeve length but it looks so bad I can't even wear. Just hangs in my closet as a remembrance to how badly a MTO purchase can go.

I emailed Drew a few times being like um dude this isn't right.. but at the time I was too busy to fuck with his stupid shit again. He basically told me that my measurements were wrong and his jacket was right. Except his jacket fit like shit and my measurements would have been great. Decided to just remove myself from the whole situation and write it off. Should have just bought MMM for 2x the price and actually been happy. Looks like people have continued to get bitten for the last 5 years.

Were can I find pants like this? Relaxed top, tapered, cropped, with a cuff. Pref wool but really anything.

Every time I find something that somewhat fits the bill something is off. Either they are too slim up top, they don't taper enough/are too wide at the hem. They don't have a cuff and don't have enough fabric to put one in without turning them in to long shorts. Maybe I've just been looking at the wrong places/brands.
