What happened there?

It looks like some people (who seem to like his products) proposed changes to the site to make it more user-friendly, and he responded by saying he is shutting down the thread.

Well, that may have been misconstrued.  He may be making a new thread. and making it more positive and more product focused, but I don't think that it was in direct reaction to that.

People need to remember that often, unsolicited suggestions and advice about problems that someone is already struggling to fix are not sought.  Just a thought.

maybe, but still doesn't justify such an extreme reaction, especially from a business owner towards clients who are only trying to help in earnest

They just call for expensive fabric, chest hair and a lack of shower.

I wish Guidi shoes weren't so wide in the heel, sigh.

I need some help with finding a pair of green chinos which would fit. I got big this so something with a higher rise and big thigh would help, but preferably something that has a taper. Around the $100 or so mark.

On a side note, I've been interviewing for jobs and stuff and I'm sort of done wearing the typical business wear. I feel like middle management in my cotton suit and oxford. Plus I'm in a creative industry, so I'm going to start having more fun with what I wear to interviews.

Anyone?

It's generally not the lack of side seams that can make tubular shirts so desirable. It's the fact that many of them are loopwheeled, which is a much denser, more solid knit.
