BRB, camping out to resell for $20k USD or trade for new car.

the best part of that kanye pricing is that he keeps saying he hates exclusivity and wants his stuff to be accessible to everyone. he's been suggesting his stuff would be priced at zara levels. haha

Because I’m only concerned with making beautiful products available to as many people as possible … The least I could do is spend my time trying to give other people a piece of the so-called good life. Everyone should have the good life. It’s like [Amancio] Ortega [founder of Zara] and H&M group. Before that happened, you could tell who came from money, who didn’t, who had a bigger paycheck, who didn’t. It was about separation and I think high fashion is about elitism and separation, and I am completely opposed to that

IIRC he's said in one of his interviews that adidas sets the pricing but if he had his way it'd be H&M pricing.

It's likely that he doesn't have much control over pricing. Adidas knows what prices people are willing to pay for Kanye's stuff on the resale market. With that said, those prices are absurd and you'll (hopefully) see most items go on a deep sale

saying you have no control over pricing is a huge cop out

He shouldn't say that he wants his clothing to be more accesible to the masses then. He thought he could control the beast that is the apparel industry but they have their hand up his ass sock puppeting him and riding him for his marketability.

FYI-

The beeswax to soften a sharp zipper trick does not work, but the pushpin/corkboard trick to stretch a shrunken sweater trick works great.

My housekeeper handwashed my Attachment wool sweater in hot water (lol?) and I never thought I'd wear it again. Soaked it in water and a little hair conditioner for 30 min and stretched it out and pinned it to a corkboard and it's completely normal again.

Just for the record I have 0% against transvestites, as long as they are happy, who am I to judge and some of the Brazilian and Thai ones, have had seriously good surgery, so you really have to look twice.

The problem is that you think the benchmark you need to reach is "having 0% against 'transvestites'" (which actually means cross-dresser — the people you're discussing are transexuals). The problem is the fact that you think your opinion on transexuals matters, or that you should need to have an opinion at all. Assessing how appealing the appearances of transexuals are in the same post you attempt to vindicate yourself doesn't help matters.

Tons of prejudices are rooted in ignorance, not malice. Whether or not you have anything against them — and I take you at your word that you don't — your comments are dehumanizing.

I don't say any of this with the intention of making you feel bad or guilty, simply with the hope that you'll consider it in the future!

I realize that "empathy" is a hot-button issue on SF, so I'll leave it at that. smile.gif

Man.

You know, here we were, just a few dudes on the forum making jokes about sick people with mental disorders, and suddenly we get shot down for it. And for what, a few laughs?

And now one of the prominent members of the forum is upset about this, too.

Shame on you. Shame on you!

So you say.

Trans people are gross. No amount of liberal hippie bullshit can dispute that. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif
