Honestly, the Japanese Evisu No.1 in the 2000 cut. I started wearing my old pair again, bought in 2007 or so, and they are the best fitting jeans I've ever had.

I don't know why but that actor who plays the denim snob makes me laugh so hard every time he's on the show. He's great.

TOJ thread reaching epic level hilarity due to SLP jacket argument being better than wait time for TOJ.

I have a pair of LVC can't remember the model, they accommodate my big ass thighs.

LVC makes some of the best and worst cuts of jeans. They are generally good for someone looking for a higher rise and wider thighs. Just steer clear of the 1966 and 78 if you have bigger legs.

Levi's has the 501 CT—loose upper block with a 6.75" leg opening.

Got rid of all my "designer" jeans (DH, JE, HL) and now only have two pairs of Levi 501CT. One is almost raw and oversized, the other is a lighter wash and sized down for a trimmer fit, but still plenty of room in seat/thigh. Feels good. I was tempted by the Uniqlo loose/tapered, but was feeling nostalgic.

Wearing a pair of Cloak jeans today along with a neighborhood flannel with motocross print. Don't really care about who makes my jeans anymore, Uniqlo are fine. Would care if I wanted a new pair of indigo ones maybe cause some of the japanese makers are cool in that nerdy way that William Gibson is cool.

Note: Neighborhood flannel is this one (looks way less contrasted in person, everything blends in smoothly):

Just ordered a pair this morning actually. I'll send you a PM when they get here if you're interested. See @cocostella 's post above too.

I like my jeans to sag and prefer a waist that's either 16.5 or 17" across. My dark CTs are sz 32 and the light wash are sz 30. They both accomplish the goal I referred to above. My DH MIJ 19cm raws were a 31" for reference.
