well, the class is on material culture (history of stuff), so i'm gonna write about the changing silhouettes of levis 501 and how they relate to society.. ie: baggy 90s 501s mean xyz

Sorry, just saw this post, but you should def look at the way those silhouettes were marketed as well-- Levis' advertising is some of the more fascinating stuff out there. For example, check out the 501 ads in the 80s. They basically tried (successfully) to market a baggy look toward a culture that was accustomed to tighter silhouettes. Also, the ads Levis ran in England during that time all but pioneered the sexual objectification of men.

The 420s are the best version. They just haven't trended yet.

I like the 574s, will probably buy another pair. The 420s are too lightweight for me

I just recently purchased some 420s for gym and "getting **** done" purposes and I would agree with you. Not quite enough cushion. Next pair will 574s.

This is one of those rare occasions when I'm glad it's so easy to open a dispute on paypal.

Yup. The whole order was a complete mess from start to finish.

I'm not usually one of those people, but I doubt I'd ever buy anything from them just based on Ryan being a total douche.

I actually just had to open a PayPal/eBay dispute for the first time in, ****, maybe a decade? eBay is so buyer-friendly that I don't know why you'd ever try to rip off someone from the selling end. Then again, this young lady is stupid enough to try this despite being easily found on Facebook. #ohheyyoustupidbitch
