Any type of grappling art will be much more taxing overall IME. Depends what you're trying to get out of it.

KJ, I think you're right: mobility demands a lot of work if it's gonna be done right. I remember how strenuous yoga was when I wasn't even lifting. It would absolutely kick my ass if I tried to pick it up now.

Most importantly, I don't want to half-ass anything. If I'm gonna lift, I have to focus on lifting. I guess I'll wait until I've wrapped up this episode before obsessing about something that requires my full attention.

One last question for Fok: which would you recommend to a newbie, jiu jitsu or Muay Thai? All the MMA/defense stuff is starting to pique my curiosity lately, and I'm wondering how reasonable it would be for me to pick it up within the next five years (I'm 24 now).

I do both. I suppose it's a big time commitment, but it's definitely not impossible. I'd at least add a 20-minute stretch routine to your lifting days or you'll find yourself immobile.

Who was it that owns a pair of the Raf chain derbys? How do you like them so far?

I've decided that any knit I purchase from here on out should be one size larger than I think would fit.

My boot camp consists of eating a whole Little Caesar's Hot n Ready. That is how I stay fit for my new stylistic direction: free-size only

At least they're ready when you want them. You only say they're gross because you like your purchases to tease you with lack of existence for years

I prefer my pizza to have a queue

edit:

Everything good in life comes in queues

There should be a wait time for everything

all food, clothing, cars, homes, etc, should be made to measure.

this is the business model of the future, psychological value included

Queuing at the grocery store does my head in.

I should have wore my white sneakers today =\

And I should not have gone out with a S/S tee wearing a scarf. Arms cold

Currently on sale at Mr.Porter is a Jil Sander striated waffle-knit tee.

I can't figure out why there are two material combinations explained on the tag when the entire thing seems to be made out of one fabric and there is no lining nor contrasting application.

Fabric content:
1: 76% cotton, 18% polyamide, 6% viscose
2: 60% cotton, 30% polyamide, 10% viscose

Any guesses?

Co-worker called me out saying I'm wearing a table cloth around my neck... damn. feel bad

I fired back saying she wearing a picnic blanket skirt (plaid skirt actually)...

so weak

She also owns +J women's line, which I was surprised...she actually wears a lot of internet approved designers. Really curious whether it is her own interest or her husbands.

This has been a toasty thought of the day (TTotD). Thank you, everyone!
