You need a gore-tex apron with taped seams, I wouldn't settle for less

Doing what, may I ask?

When I was in college I had to listen to all this bullshit from hipster girls about what was "scene" and what was "emo" and whatever else, ******* impossibly stupid and impossible to figure out what the **** anyone was talking about. Apparently ever having listened to Portugal. The Man makes you at least one of these things, although I'm still not sure which.

At the GA barrier islands I'm doing some work with sea turtles, mostly working with a sea turtle research center with tracking and tagging and a bit of water management on the islands. The whole thing falls under a big human impact study, but I'm just stoked to go to the beach and hang out with some turtles. In the Okefenokee I think we're just boating around alligator infested waters and eating some sweet swamp food under the guise of "field experience."

Haha I actually remembered being called a scene kid for liking portugal. the man a long time ago, but I didn't give a **** because they've got some sweet bluesy sounds going on.

i wonder where one can find dope kitchen aprons. i realize its sort of antithetical cause its just gonna get covered in grease/flour/etc but i still want one
http://www.oki-ni.com/icat/accessor...ns-digital-camo-luggage-apron/invt/wmo1022gry is neat but not really an apron id wear in the kitchen + fuckall expensive

Make your own! It's really easy, you could just buy a cheap apron you like, rip the seams and copy the pattern. This way you can also add as many pockets as you want or other stuff for your needs. I made a sweet blackwatch plaid one years ago when I was into Indy boots and quoddy ring shoes, still use it for baking and cooking. Lots of cool fabrics can be found on ebay as well.

Yeah, it's going to be great because everything we do is paid for us, right down to the food and beer. The two professors (a paleontologist/barrier island ecologist and a behavioral ecologist) leading the team are pretty awesome as well, a lot of beer and nature talk, I can't ask for more.

Anyways, fashion thought: I seriously can't get enough for Nonnative, White Mountaineering, a lot of EG, Mt Rainier, all those outdoorsy, almost heritage-y brands lately. I wish it wasn't so inaccessible/expensive, because I'd love to dive into it all. It would also be nice if we had a lot of support here for smaller brands like that and a lot of information on sizing, where to buy, etc similar to the Schneider thread.

Hey, I used to study turtles- leatherbacks, box turtles, mud turtles... fun times, especially the beaches of Costa Rica.

I've got enough pairs of boots now. I do need a nice pair of mid-brown brogues though. Thinking Loakes or Rizzo, they have models I like.
