On a slightly related note, I think my carpe destroyed horse backzips are drying out. How would I take care of such a leather? Do I treat it like suede or something else?

Also IFSoho has a ridiculous collection, puts Opening Ceremony to shame

Yes, both are safe bets.  Also, they are not out of place.  They allow someone to fill out their wardrobe with basics that highlight their marquee pieces.  Also, they allow entry into the dream.  Remember that the store is a brand.

Blue in Green is the official agent of Real McCoy's in the USA - so that mystery is now solved.

No doubt there is also an awareness with the designers that most things really start to move when the sales hit anyway. Retail is like a pre-sale for those who don't want to miss out (and those who can afford it), while the sales are the real deal.

Maybe they come to accept that, but assuming that nothing is going to move until sales is a big ass red flag in the business plan, unless margins have been set that high. Also, some collections just don't go on general sale - CCP and MA+, for example.  So, celebrities are very possibly keeping your favorite stores afloat.  Thank Kanye and Kim Kardashian.

Yea but why not just keep the Real McCoys in the BiG store, I'd guess momo, PBJ, Samurai, and maybe a few others are more popular, or is it just cuz Real McCoys make a lot of stuff besides denim? CPs are "versatile" yes, but acne clashes harshly with workwear.

Acne is mostly a blank slate.  Um, Mohawk sells Dries and stuff.  And H. Lorenzo is a mixed bag.  In any case, workwear has mixed with the minimalist Scandanavian stuff from the day it hit our shores.  The two mixed together (Acne and Engineered Garments) back in Odin, in 2005.

To highligh Real McCoys.  Yes, it's a full line.

Really interested to see the lookbook. With those two in particular, they seem like complete opposites in color/texture/fit. The only thing is Acne doesn't pretend they don't want thin people, EG pretends like they don't care but then makes XLs with 22" p2p.

I've always wondered how much clothing advice has been given here while the poster was sitting on the toilet.

The intersection may be small, but it is very active.
A lot of stores sell out of many pieces/styles before the stock gets to them. And pre/special orders are a big part of their business too.

But Russian rubles won't get you anything good abroad, and within Russia, everything is like 3x the price of what it costs outside of the country. Which is why anyone who has money in Russia does their shopping abroad (except for oligarchs, who don't care about paying $1,000 for a iPad or something).

I lived in Russia for about a year and a half. A fifth of Jack Daniels was like $75. Domestically produced vodka was like $5.

don't know what the original comment was about, but betting it has something to do with RUBUSD tanking this week

And yet, New York can't support Atelier.

I'm aware, but my point is that tariffs are so ridiculously high on imported goods, foreign products are still more expensive in Russia than abroad.

There are some people who smuggle stuff into the country, past customs. But they're still paying for the stuff using the ruble, which doesn't go very far.
