New England Shirt Co.?
Gant Rugger?

the NESC shirts made for Unionmadegoods might fit the bill, but they're getting pricier all the time... The company make shirts for a variety of retailers (J Press, Sid Mashburn...) but the measurements can vary a lot. I love the ones I have, but now I've decided to go the custom route (trying out Proper Cloth) to save a bit of cash

Do I really have to be the one to mention Epaulet? Their stock OCBDs are made by NESC and are similar to Gitman but with a slimmer fit.

I tried Proper Cloth and they are fine if you like your MTO shirtmaker to second guess all of your measurements and build in ridiculous "shrinkage tolerances" that the fabric will never hit in a million hot wash & tumble dries.

Hm, maybe you could force them to change their name to Improper Cloth. It happened to a local attorney here, one who billed himself as the "tough, smart lawyer" when his behavior proved otherwise. Get on the case, Van Buren!

Most Japanese brands I know are..any others?

Costume National.  I have a pretty big wingspan for a 5'11" guy, and every single jacket I've had from them have needed the arms shortened by about 1.5-2".

The dial on mine gave out after...seven years, maybe? and I don't know if I can just get a replacement dial.

The only thing I didn't particularly care for is that you have to hold the coffee container (the part at the bottom that collects the ground coffee) in place while it grinds the beans; otherwise, I'd probably just buy a new one, maybe the version with a metal casing.
On the plus side, if someone asks you how much something you're wearing cost and you're embarrassed to tell them, you can just quote them the amount marked on the customs form.

For grinder, see refurbished Baratza.

dammit, way to kill my vibe on a Sunday night when i was just thinking of how sweet that flannel was gonna be (finally had some 50s weather here in TX)

Thanks for the recommendations, @momentoftruth , @cold war painter , and @StanleyVanBuren. All of the Individualised Shirt Co. shirts look like they have rather small shoulders. I'll give NESC/Epaulet a try. Their shirts at Unionmade are indeed pricey.

Edit: re: NESC/Epaulet, they are darted frown.gif I hate darts.

@zissou I like BB ESF. I never wear them with ties so I order them half an inch down in the neck and they're pretty slim. More consistent sizing than GBV and you can get longer sleeves.

@zissou I think Epaulet's EPLA oxfords are dartless

Note to self: buy a coat rack/tree for my cubicle. It's starting to get "cold" out here.

Personally I would do Denim and some kind of knit, jacket or t...no shirts

So my combos would be:

Navy, Navy, Boots
Cream, White, Boots
All Cream
Red, Cream, Boots
Green, Gray, Boots

I mean I could find maybe 10-15 ways to wear those boots. Very nice color

I just never understood how jeans could wear over the shaft. Do you need a minimum of 19cm? Jeans and trousers?

I always liked those MMM FWIW...looks so easy going.

I think around an 8 inch hem is best (I think Synth does this?) I tried them on with a 7.5 inch hem. Slimmer hems can look good too

Like this:
