I've dabbled on the StyleZeitgeist WAYWT thread a little, and have found it to be incredibly boring. If it was truly pseudo-intellectual blathering going on- as people here seem to accuse- it wouldn't be so bad, because at least pseudo-intellectual blathering is occasionally interesting. Instead, there's just alot of jawing about the internal politics of the board-- i.e. what our WAYWT threatens to become whenever everybody starts flaming xenox.

No one from the forum ever sounds anything like i picture them sounding when i meet them IRL.

and to keep it on topic, i am almost positive canvas sneakers kmws and a fruit of the loom t-shirt plus a ton of downy fabric softener = 'sartorial' bliss.

Did Whodini seduce you with his silky Barry White voice?

Just so you can imagine my voice correctly when you read my posts, I sound like Telly from the movie "Kids" combined with Harvey Firestein.

I don't understand the love for German Army sneakers around here. Every time I see them pop up in the WAYWT thread, I think about how bland/ugly they are.

he is somewhat irresistible in person , yes.

those two references sadly paint no pictures for this 'midwest hipster'... i am pretty sure i am lacking any kind of actual hipster cred. i am 23 , married, and i work for a huge huge corporation.
i'd have to be a starving artist lving with my wife in a camper on the back of my 82 dodge ram, understand poetry, and have the ability to grow a gnarly beard to even make a blip on anyones radar amongst the hip here in O-town.

The starving artist/bohemian hasn't been the image of hip since Guiliani gentrified most of New York City, and rappers stopped drinking 40s and started drinking Grey Goose.
