Had gifts as a guest of a wedding from there, the groom had nothing but good stuff to say about it. I hadn't heard about it beforehand.

I found a very nice pair of cufflinks and a few vintage tie clips.
Like others have said before, the search engine is terrible.

Edit- I also bought a pair of Allen Edmonds.
They came up in a google search for size 11A Allen Edmonds.

I have bought a few little pieces of art and had a few custom pieces made up. Most of the stuff is crap though. Lol

I've bought a handmade scarf for a friend last winter and I also know a few people who sell their crafts on etsy. Overall I feel it's a neat site though it feels like alot of the time the seller way overcharges on shipping and handling fees.

Site is great from what I have experienced. A lot of sellers get ripped after selling creations there. For instance the first Snow White Macbook Vinyl sticker was sold there and now everyone is selling them, kinda sucks for the person who first conceptualized and made it. Then again, its a low cost risky business model to begin with that anyone can jump into and then get jumped upon.

My wife likes the site but twice she paid for an item and then the seller went "bankrupt." In each case, my wife never received the product or her money back. One particular item was our wedding guest book.

supermarkethq.com is also great, a curated Etsy - I think they could do better with the categories and linking to sellers/shops from the main site, but there's a lot of interesting stuff on there.

The common themes on the prints across SHQ is kind of amusing. 22-35 year old Americans are twee as fuck, apparently.

Etsy strikes me as a mildly retarded site Vintage sellers: buy their stuff from Ebay and thrift stores then sell it on etsy for 300% more than they originally bought for. Handmade sellers: buy garage sales junks, add a few details, and call it "handmade" and "environmentally responsible". The only saving grace is how many college-aged hotties model on this site out of starvation for some dough. There is a limited number of artisans and even those people produce highly unoriginal works.
