Bad manners to call attention to bad manners?

What to you think? I myself am unsure on this question. Is it bad manners to call someone out on his own bad manners? For example, whenever someone cuts off a conversation or interrupts dinner to take some trivial cell phone call, I get so annoyed. I subtly show my disapproval but I prefer to be more direct. Only being direct in these instances strikes me as unmannerly, so I keep quiet. What do you think?

I try to avoid calling someone rude, but it's hard sometimes.

its not your job to educate people, unless it is. I call attention to my kids bad manners, and my reports, if I think that it can hurt sales or hurt our standing in the company - that is, if it effects me. aside from that, the world is full of rude assholes and I try not to let it bother me too much

You mean "affects".

... Oh wait is it bad manners to call attention to grammatical errors?

If so don't tell me or it would be bad manners.

This is all very confusing.

That's not bad manners, that's just being an asshole. Bad manners are chewing with your mouth open, keeping your elbows on the table, etc..
