Barney's Coop in Georgetown

Thread Starter
I stopped by the new store today, which is located next to the Barnes and Noble where Ralph Lauren used to be.

I was pleasantly surprised. Selection is much better than at the Chevy Chase location. They've got Rag & Bone (denim and other stuff), Rogan, Nice Collective, Nudie, etc. Definitely worth checking out, although of course it's all at Barneys Coop prices.

that 's why you need to come see me for denim.
I liked the chevy chase lay out better but they did have some nice things. I like that chevy chase and G-Town carry different vendors.

Maybe that's why, when I asked a CC staff dude if they carried Rag + Bone, he said "No." and regarded me coolly. Would think they'd refer you to Gtown. Mauro, I'd love to stop by more, but I can't stand driving in VA, even if only for a second. Bad things happen to me in VA, for some reason.

Sorry to hear that. Strange shit happens in VA.
My Bethesda store will be opening in about 6 months. I am selling Rag and Bone but only the rb-6,rb-11 , and rb-14

Speaking of the Co-op, I was thinking that the next time that I go into the city, I was going to check out the co-op and see what it's all about. Its just another thing that I have added to my list of things to check out.

damn, didn't know that. that's awesome. ha, the VA store is still way closer, but dope for you that you are expanding! so will you do like this whole barney's thing and not overlap inventory. so i'll have to trek to bethesda for things you don't carry in the NoVA store? granted not done much trekking yet as i'm on my first pair of APCs from you (but on the verge of getting another pair of rescues from you, and prob some nudie SSDS or RRDG)

I really like the new SSDS, both the cut and the color, but they are considerably more expensive than the RRDG (which has a very cool color too).

well the SSDS aren't any more than the RRDS right? or am i totally off on this? and not the SSDS limited editions (which i know denim bar had at one point). but yeah, $265US (i believe the standard retail rate in the US) is tough to pay, but they are nice. haha, besides nice to support forum members and also local businesses (as i'm in the DC metro too)

I agree with all points. My point was just that the SSDS is pretty expensive Stateside. I get hooked up for 130 Eu from a European friend, or 150 Eu from my brother (the SSDS is actually slightly cheaper than the more popular RRDS) but $265 is hefty. Not sure I would pay that much and I really like Nudie cuts - three pairs in rotation right now, is all. The RRDG is a cheaper alternative, that's all. Mauro is a nice guy. I just happen to be poor.

hahah, i'm poor too. and (as nice a guy as guy as mauro is) if i could find them cheaper i would. it's is a hefty price to pay for them. but i only dabble in denim. not crazy like some ppl are paying lots of money to have like 93840928 pairs of denim. so not too bad.

haha, i hope it has something to do with location that your friend gives you a better rate than family. hahah.
