He realllly laid it all out there...even his own embarrassing stuff.

Mariah brought this on herself with her diss of Em.

She's got some bad idea jeans on.

I almost want to feel sorry for Nick but he's in love and she's crazy. Good luck. Thats on some marriage ending shit.

Yep. I think the issue here is that Mariah is paid and she can't deal with a guy equally paid because they won't put up with her foolishness.

I heard she texts Nick Cannon upwards of 100 times a night if he's at a club without her.

She's a diva, no matter how many times she says she's down-to-earth, humble, and nice (especially during promotion interviews). Nick Cannon can't do anything now, and neither can she.

What happened? I missed all of this, including the video above that no longer works.

Classic trying-too-hard move from Eminem.

He needs to take a page from Jay-Z - the most devastating diss line in rap is "To all them other cats throwin' shots at Jigga, you only get half a bar. Fuck y'all niggas."

This guy got destroyed by Nas, lets not forget who actually won that beef. N&M problem is they took a joke personally. The only person I ever saw hold his own against Em in a beef was Everlast actually.

because Gay-Z and Cockafella are such damaging disses, I have no idea how Jay-Z can show his face anymore. Most of Nas's name calling in Ether were childish and lame.

Takeover was a much better executed diss that went past Nas and into his protoge's Mobb Deep. Although, I'm not exactly saying it's better either.

Ether may have had a better beat but I feel like Takeover was better, it doesn't matter who won a pointless beef. Nas should have been on his knees thanking Jay-Z for making him relevant again.

Lame. I can't believe people actually follow this soap opera crap.

And you're so above it that you still clicked on the thread and commented.

Blog, I have to disagree. I guess in the end both guys are business men, and Jay-Z end up putting Nas on his label. Also, most rap beefs end up as a name calling fest. Elephant in the Sand, Gay-Unit...etc.

GQ, not that it makes a difference, but I don't follow most beefs. Nas & Jay-Z was a huge beef though and to not follow it (at the time) would show that you're out of the loop.

Too bad almost no one in the rap community agrees with you.

"Ether" has become part of the lexicon as a verb. No one even mentions Takeover. If you really reduce Ether to "gay-Z and cockafella" you probably need to listen to it again. The sentiment behind each line is quite strong and that's why in the hip hop community it's considered one of the best disses ever.

Sorry to continue bringing this thread off track.

The last verse in Last Real N---a Alive killed Jay-z as well. Jay-z definitely lost that battle, but still one of the top 3 lyricists ever IMHO (but that's a discussion for another thread)
