Enjoyed. Will go again.

Sucked at it of course, but that's hardly the point.

Nice! Care to share some detail, for those of us who considered it, but never manned up to do it? What was it like, what exactly did you do? Did you know anything before going in? I personally am interested in trying it, but looking like a fool in front of people is something I struggle with.

Vinyasa? Bikram? Or some other style?

I've been taking vinyasa yoga at my work gym for several months and enjoy it. I haven't reached the point where it "clicks," and I am still the least flexible person in the class, but it has really improved my rock climbing. If you get the chance, try pilates, yoga's evil cousin.

Awesome. Harder than you thought? Keep at it and you'll be in titibasana before you know it.

iyenger?
I am 6'2 and Yoga(just basic) in the morning 2-3 times a week has helped with my joints and flexability. I've had knee surgery and it also helps with that.

But the more important question is: how are the ladies?

Where the hell have you been practicing? The hardest part of my class was not getting a hardon checking out all the fit 20 somethings and gorgeous MILFS bending over in front of me during practice. Best part was that the only other guy in that class was a fat guy who kept farting.

For this + stress/anxiety control I have often contemplated taking yoga classes

Guess it depends on where you go. But the Anusara class in suburban Clear Lake Texas was full of hotties. Also, the feeling you get after you light a spliff following an intense yoga session is second to none.

Could this be why your squat program is suffering?

That was 15 years ago. I don't practice yoga these days.

I do a few classes a month - find it a great change of pace, and yes, the women are very hot, and yes, I am really bad compared to eveyone else.

It was Ashtanga, and mostly just assorted twisted stretching.

I am way too naive to describe it any better than that...I am reasonably flexible, so didn't find it all that hard to do most of the movements (badly). And yes, some pretty girls there.

Bikram Yoga is what works for me. Changed my body completely-- took me a week to get used to the heat but it's worth it!
