Like it or not? Seems like I used to see it more often at people's houses than I do today. I miss it.

Love it! Grew up with my Yiddish grandmother's version but my wife took the old family recipe and added some bacon and a smidge of mayonnaise for pure heart-attack inducing bliss.

No. Foie gras has a much more mild taste, and I'm sure a totally different texture, though I can't remember the texture of the liver.

I like it a lot.

Strangely many of the iconic "Jewish" foods like Gefilte fish and pickled herring I don't like at all.

FWIW, IMO, it's hard to beat properly cooked chopped liver. Dredge in flour, high heat. Some grilled onions, fresh ground pepper...

I never liked gefilte fish until we started going to passover at my aunt's house a few years ago. She makes a great one, and now I am a fan.

I love liver, especially in the pate form. But, badly cook, it could be quite disgusting.
