This is why ebay and paypal are such a pita.

PP will side with the buyer 99.9% of the time despite what their policies say. All they have to say is that something is wrong with the item and PP will decide in their favor. It doesn't matter if your kiton is fake, real, or whatever. YOU will have to take the return and they will return his money. And the kicker is that PP will keep their fees.. what a bunch of crooks.

And I won't even go into the fraud some buyers engage in to screw the sellers. Suffice to say anytime you sell anything with paypal, you're vulnerable unless you're willing to go through alot of work to get police reports, small claim courts, etc. I personally won't sell anything on ebay anymore unless it's small in value and I can't get rid of it on CL or on a hobby forum. At least there, a buyer's reputation is also on the line.

Yeah, I know right? Their policies are a joke. Fact is, I would have been more than happy to take a return if I thought it was fake, but since everybody here says otherwise - why would I? I'm going to give PayPal a call tomorrow and hopefully beat some sense into them - either way, I didn't have any money in that account, so I should be okay, but it is still certainly a major pain to deal with.

I have dealt with SingleChange and found him to be a very decent seller and person. However, I have no issues with what you're saying either.

I know little about Kiton, but I would not have questioned the jacket's authenticity (based upon my experience).

However, as it's someone I do know (SingleChange), what I would be inclined to suggest is that you suggest to SingleChange that he takes the jacket to NM or a store of his choice (who naturally stocks Kiton) and get him to produce a store stamped letter stating that the jacket is fake, along with the reasons for their conclusions.

I'm pretty certain that Kiton will have some easy method of establishing the "provendence" of the jacket. This also will allow an (hopefully) independant 3rd party to evaluate the jacket without any prejudice.

Just my 2 pence.

100 % REAL. And its not vintage. Kiton has only used that Lining for about 4-5 years max.
