Worst Movie endings

The ninth gate w/ Johnny Depp. Had me all the way up to the ending then... just ended.

Planet of the Apes, Tim Burton version. Just doesn't make sense at all. Not that it was a great movie before that point, but ending really took it down another notch.

Sunshine, love the first part of the film, but pretty much most of the last part of the film sucked and was cliche.

I am legend, with Will Smith. Everything up to the women and kid showing up was great, then it went downhill fast. Alternative ending was slightly better.

The end of Fight Club was a major letdown. Kind of gay to have even watched this, but the end of The Visitor was so weak it pissed me off. EDIT dammit i have to check out the alternate ending of I Am Legend, because that movie was irritating at the end too.

Yes!! I wanted to see him meet the Prince of Darkness. I assume he hooked up with that chick who he boned at the end of the movie, who by the way was the director's wife. Good movie

I'd say the The Departed.

Every mother fucker got shot in the head in a two minute span. I think I yelled at the screen when Leo got blasted.

The ending to Street Fighter was freakin horrible. And by freakin horrible, I mean freakin awesome.

I Am Legend. The ending that stayed in the movie never should have even been shot. They should have kept the 'alternate' ending.

Sunshine had so much potential for a teriffic third act but then Freddy Krueger happened...

I am legend, well the ending completely disregards Matheson's point making the title meaningless. it becomes a banal zombie/vampire survival, the gated community part is the icing on the cake

Soylent Green. Any M. Knight Shyamalan movie after Sixth Sense is now terrible because we know what's going to happen. I'll wager a re-watching of SS would add it to the list too.
