Interesting. I'll probably go see it.

Ugh I can't stand their comedies. They're off beat and well executed but the writing is not funny in the least. I think I've actually hated every comedy they've ever produced.

No Country for Old Men was funny.

You didn't like Lebowski or O Brother?
I disagree about the writing not being funny. I love the writing from Raising Arizona and O Brother. I hate to admit that I never saw The Big Lebowski.

It is perhaps an acquired taste, but I like it. My wife, on the other hand is mixed on them. She hated Raising Arizona, but loved O Brother...go figure.

Still haven't seen Lebowski, which i know is sacrilege. O Brother, Burn after reading, Raising Arizona... all of them, corny, not funny at all. I honestly hate those movies. Raising Arizona for example, besides that "turn to the right", which stops being funny after the 2nd time, I don't even know what else people are laughing at.

See it.

Why has nobody mentioned Blood Simple?

Besides being funny, I think O Brother is one of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen. Barton Fink is quite funny also.

They've made good films after Miller's Crossing for sure.

No, but some are just talking about how good their movies are or aren't, so I thought I'd throw it in.

If you watch Blood Simple and Raising Arizona you really see where No Country for Old Men came from.
