Ugh - I failed level 1 this past june.

Band 10 (top 10% of those that...failed), so I'm pretty confident for the december retake.

any other takers here?

I was a no show for Level 2 for four years straight. I blame SF sucking up my studying time.

I've heard the first test is the easiest one. You had better get your shit together.

+1

If you failed level 1, you're going to be in a world of pain for 2

Is there a point to not going all the way to level 3?

My brother passed all three on his first attempts. We're cool like that.

+2 especially this June when the pass rate was so high.

I passed level 1! I don't even want to start thinking about studying for level 2....

I was speaking with a charter holder that said, on average, a successful applicant will fail two exams. Persevere...

Probably due to the fact that unemployment rate for financial professionals are extremely high and more students delaying graduations.

I'm a CFA charterholder. Passed all exams on the first try. Level 1 is EASY. Gimme a cookie.

Violation of Standard VII-B... passing all 3 exams does not make you cooler than other candidates who have not passed the exams consecutively.

incorrect. On the CFA site somewhere, it states Charterholders, on average take 4 exams to pass. (this only takes into account people who have achieved CFA, not those who have not completed the ardious journey)

I totally agree looking good is better than having an extra 3 letters on your business card. Girls dig that more... Probably think you're part of the Cats Fancier Association, becuase I'm a CFA, but my sister is one also in the other association- she has a exotic shorthair and loves cats.

Except that this was a comparison of December and June, not year over year. Someone told me the new 3 answer choices instead of 4 format made it a lot easier for them.
