my friend is going to chicago for a few days. what should i ask him to bring back for me?

yes, i'm in the city of angels. i thought maybe a pizza. do they sell these frozen at the good places? which pizza should i tell him to bring me?

Lou Manalti's is good stuff and one of a couple Chicago institutions. You can order it from thier website, too, so if exclusivity is important to you there might be better choices.

Giordano's stuffed-crust pizza. Uniquely Chicago. You can buy it frozen at the restaurant on Rush St.

Garrets is OK, I prefer Gary Poppins. I think all of the Treasure Island's (grocery store) carry the brand.

I believe the Macy's State street store has begun carrying the Frango Mints again..

I'm not sure how well deep dish travels, and I'm afraid you won't get the full experience, but I know Lou Mal's will ship frozen pizzas.

I'd say pizza too, but I don't know...its just not the same when it is a day or two old. But definitely have him get you the Frango Mints like Claret recommends...I was in Chicago earlier this year and yes the Macy's definitely still does carry them - and they're the same original mints!
