Glue is cars what cemented shoes are to well, shoes.... similarly: rivets are to cars what a welt is to shoes.

Not really. Carbon fiber cars are completely glued together.

Also, aluminum is often bonded with glue, like the subframes of the last and current BMW 5s, or the chassis of the Elise, or airplanes. And it can be lighter, stronger, and more reliable than rivets.

I'm sure this will be great, however anyone else agree Ferrari's styling has lost something of late, the Testarossa, the F40 great looking, timeless cars. Not sure how these will age, though I don't think I would be upset if I had one!

I think the 458 is a handsome car. The 430 looks rather bloated with tiny little headlights by comparison.

I dont think their styling has lost its edge at all. If anything, the 455, 612 and the 550 werent anything spectacular - but the 458 is a pininfarina design, just as great as the pininfarina's of childhood posters.

The 550 is a timeless design. A proper GT car like the 550 shouldn't be as edgy as the 348 to 458 lineage.

Evidently there has been a recall as a result of fires.

Here's what Ralph says:

Our polos with "5" on the sleeve were inspired by the first American public polo match, staged in Brooklyn in 1878.
