It had to end somehow - that was probably one of the strongest theories all the way through - much better than an odd left turn. I wasn't shocked, and I wasn't speechless, but it made me feel good - and I am satisfied. I would love to know what happens to the people that were not there ... Michael, Walt, Richard, the Redhead, Farraday, Widmore, Widmore's crew, Eloise, etc.... Was the Eloise that didn't want them to move on also dead ?

Not sure I get it either. So is everyone dead? If so they why are they leaving the island in the plane and why is Hurley guarding it with Ben still or does the island not exist?

Where is Michael and Walt? Seems like Walt was so overhyped in the first couple seasons as being integral but they just wiped him away like he was nothing.

I also don't understand how he turned into the smoke monster from the light? What exactly was the light that was coming out of the hole and what was the red that came when it was unplugged or was it all just symbolic?

I thought it was pretty predictable and they gave everyone what they wanted for the most part. I was hoping there would be some twist.

Can the entire show be summed up as "a bunch of shit happens for no logical reason, but it's okay because they're all in heaven"? Because that's kind of a copout.

Yeah I'm pretty disappointed that the ending failed to tie in with the greater island mythos, at least in any way that is apparent. As it stands, was there any significance to the specific setting of the island?

I think the characters that weren't there (With the exception of Michael and walt [confused about this]) maybe were just characters in the purgatory or wherever they were

Summed up as - when you die, you are not ready to go to heaven - you need to become complete first - and there are people in the afterlife to help you with that. You only get to heaven when you are ready. The polar bears were brought there for research by the Dharma people.
