I'm having a new set of business cards printed up. I'm basically working for myself (in academia). In the past, I was working for banks where everything was pre-set, so am just wondering about the following:
1) Should I put a fax number on the card? I much pefer e-mail scans to faxes, but my office has a fax number I can put on the card. Aren't faxes basically dead by now?
2) Should the number be 10 or 11 digit format for a US line (ie.., have a +1 at the front)? In Russia and the UK, I always included country codes. I'm going to be US based and will be doing plenty of research abroad, and just wasn't sure if the +1 will create or reduce confusion.
3) Should the phone numbers be written xxx.xxx.xxxx or xxx-xxx-xxxx?
I did a search, but didn't find these specific points addressed in the earlier threads.
