Suggestions for blazer with denim - Page 2

I was just lurking on the Men's Clothing forum, and it seems that none of these are actually blazers...you are looking for the right odd jacket to wear with denim.

You're totally right those are sporstcoats or odd jackets, I sincerely hope nobody here is dorky enough to wear a real blazer with their jeans.

My worry here is that there may not be enough contrast between the raw Canes (which are pretty dark) and the blazer. I second the idea of going with a brown or army green, or even a plaid.

Anyone have an idea where I can find a jacket like this that has broader shoulders? I've seen a few cotton twill jackets but none of them come close to fitting. I tried on a Polo in XL and I thought I was going to bust the seam in the back of the jacket and if I kept it on any longer I though I was going to lose feeling in my hands. Anyone have suggestions?

You'd actually pay for that? Just get a cotton jacket that fits you from a thrift store, soak it in salt water for a few days, and leave it in the sun to dry.

You think it's any easier to find a jacket that fits in a thrift store? I'd say it will be even more difficult to find something that fits me that way.

If you're a big dude with huge shoulders you'll find plenty in thrift stores. Armholes and shoulders were massive in the 80s. Where do you think all that clothing went? I always have a hard time finding something that isn't huge.

Dior Homme and Costume National blazers do really go well with street wear.
Now all you have to do is pay 800+ for them.

What about the raw denim blazer style jacket from G-Star? I can't find a pic of it but it's in the NYC store on Lafayette.

It has some interesting details and doesn't splash the gstar logo.
