I got the Razr a while back. Very reliable so far, but mine has a problem that's apparently shared by a lot of Motorolas - when you plug in/remove the charger, sometimes you have to switch it on and off before it recognizes the change in state.

Really? Mine does. You might be able to update the firmware using the bundled software, or from the Motorola website.
We all should've waited for the V3X - very similar, but with a megapixel camera instead...
