This is why I've actually had Japanese curry leftovers as breakfast before. However, I'm not all that familiar with the stuff (I have made the milder ones from S&B and Glico brands) and whether it comes in more extreme forms.

I didn't realize until recently that Japanese curry rice was influenced by the British, not the Indians. This was during the period of cooperation when the British helped train the Japanese navy. Naturally many shipboard culinary traditions were part of the 'technology transfer'.

I've been eating Japanese curry for breakfast since 2003 at least... Vermont Curry, House Curry... etc.

Blech, I dont like vermont curry, its too sweet, even in its hot form. Im all about the House or Golden. Always buy the hot version.

I really enjoy this breakfast. With good quality ingredients and a good cook, it is superb.

House Brand curry is a godsend for me, who is normally among the culinary inept.

I love it with curry. Not for breakfast, but I don't really eat much in the morning.

In the part of London I live in, a plethora of indian, sri lankan curry houses so quite normal to see people tucking into to dhal, bread etc at 8am. I did this whilst teaching in Kathmandu and this was normally eaten 3 times a day.
